GRAUPNER Silentius 86

Radio-Controlled Gliders for RC Pilots

Overview

The Graupner Silentius 86 is a classic electric-powered RC glider introduced in 1986 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original Silentius free-flight model designed by Fred Militky. This model was designed for ease of construction and practical electric flight.

Designed for practicality, the Silentius 86 featured a straightforward build process and was equipped with a modern low-cambered wing section for efficient gliding.

The Silentius 86 was showcased at the first electric model glider World Championships in Lommel, Belgium, in 1986, where Graupner's display team flew a fleet of identically painted models.
