Overview
The Aloft Hobbies Silly Stick is an affordable and enjoyable model designed for entry into R/C flight. It features a rugged construction with a carbon stick fuselage and plastic fittings that slip on, combined with a simple foam board wing and a lightweight yet powerful motor. This design makes it a solid trainer suitable for beginners. Additionally, it includes a second wing with ailerons for more advanced aerobatic flying, offering versatility in one model.
The Silly Stick is available as a Basic Kit containing just the airframe parts or as a Complete Kit that includes motor, ESC, servos, and wheels. It is optimized for use with a 2S battery but can also be flown on 3S with a less aggressive propeller. The model is lightweight, making it FAA exempt, and is suitable for various uses including micro FPV, mini combat, STEM programs, and one design races.
