HOBBYKING Twin Otter DHC-6
Radio-Controlled Planes for RC Pilots
Overview
This H-King DHC-6 Twin Otter is built from balsa and lite-ply with realistic covering giving an authentic look. The 1840mm wingspan gives it a great presence in the air. Having dual motors (not supplied) it gives a unique sound. The wings are easy to remove to make transportation a breeze.
The de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter is a 19 passenger STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft with a tricycle undercarriage. It was first flown in 1965 and went into production in 1966. Since 2008 it has been produced by Viking Air. It has also been flown with floats and skis. Due to its robustness, it has been flown in many countries from Norway to Papua New Guinea to Antarctica by many small airlines as well as some air forces.
You will have to do some building and assembling with this product as it is an ARF. So, ensure that you have all the tools and glues before you start to build. You will also need to provide all electrics (motors, ESCs, Servos, battery and radio system (TX/RX)). The fiberglass engine cowls and nosecone provide that extra special look. Maneuvering on the ground is very easy with the steerable nose wheel.
This plane will fly like it’s on rails and look like the real thing in the air. The colorful bird design will make it look the part. It also has flaps to give it that real STOL landings and takeoffs. It is a real beauty and comes at that great HobbyKing price.
