The Avios Twin Otter STOL is a high-quality twin-engine RC plane designed for exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance. Modeled after the full-size Twin Otter, it offers great low-speed handling, powerful performance, and scale realism.
Built from durable EPO foam, this Plug-N-Fly (PNF) model comes with factory-installed brushless motors, Aerostar RVS speed controllers, metal-geared digital servos, and LED lights. Its counter-rotating props enhance stability, while large barn door-style flaps improve slow-speed maneuverability. A fully sprung CNC metal nose strut with a servo saver, oversized bush wheels, and a detailed surface finish add to its realism and durability.
For added versatility, the Twin Otter includes a set of floats, allowing takeoffs and landings on water. The included Aerostar RVS ESCs make maneuvering on water easier, while optional tail fins improve yaw stability. The model also features two interchangeable nose sections, enabling quick conversion between the "Series 100" and "Series 200" versions of the aircraft.
Assembly is straightforward, with quick-connect wing servos and LED wiring, plus a magnetically held access hatch for easy battery and radio access. While the initial build requires some screws, the removable wing tips allow for convenient transport and quick field setup with just four hex-head screws.
Combining performance, scale detail, and versatility, the Avios Twin Otter STOL is an excellent choice for RC pilots looking for a realistic, feature-packed model that performs well on both land and wat
