The E-flite Habu XS (eXtra Sport) 80mm EDF is a high-performance jet based on the iconic Habu design, offering a more capable and powerful version compared to the Habu SS 50mm and 70mm models. Designed for both experienced and newer jet pilots, it features an exceptionally wide flight envelope with impressive low- and high-speed handling, aerobatic capability, and vertical performance. Powered by a 6S-compatible Spektrum brushless motor, a 130-amp Avian Smart ESC, and a 12-blade fan, the Habu XS delivers turbine-like sound and speeds up to 120 MPH, all without the need for “cheater” holes.

Its lightweight EPO airframe is reinforced with composites and finished in a premium painted trim scheme, with design features like a bolt-together assembly, one-piece wing, and plastic-reinforced hatches that make it quick to build and durable in use. The jet accommodates a range of battery sizes from 4000mAh to 7000mAh, enabling class-leading flight times. Eight factory-installed digital, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages ensure crisp, precise control, while functional elements like LED landing and navigation lights, effective flaps, and electric retracts with shock-absorbing struts make the aircraft well-suited for flying off various surfaces including grass.

The BNF Basic version includes a factory-installed Spektrum AR637TA+ receiver with enhanced AS3X+ and optional SAFE Select technologies. It provides telemetry such as battery voltage, current draw, and motor RPM in real time when paired with compatible transmitters. Additionally, a 7–8+ channel transmitter enables optional thrust reversing for shorter landing rollouts and unique ground handling. Overall, the Habu XS delivers an unmatched full-featured EDF jet experience for pilots of varying skill levels.
