Colonel Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, a WWII Triple Ace of the 357th Fighter Group “Yoxford Boys,” flew his legendary P-51 Mustang Old Crow with unmatched skill—earning 16.25 aerial victories over 116 missions without ever being shot down. His unit achieved an extraordinary record of 609½ enemy aircraft destroyed in just 15 months. After the war, Anderson spent 26 years leading McDonnell Aircraft’s flight test operations and was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2008.

To honor his legacy, Freewing Model has released a Special Edition 1400mm P-51D Mustang “Old Crow”, developed with Colonel Anderson’s input for authentic detailing. This edition features an upgraded high-performance power system and a two-blade propeller, boosting vertical power and increasing top speed by 25% over the standard Freewing P-51D “Iron Ass.”
