The Pino 3 retains the qualities of the of the Pino 2.5 and takes them to a new level of performance. It is a great all-rounder combining the characteristics of a slope glider and a thermal duration ship but with electric power.
The Pino 3 Light is PCM's lightweight high performer. The Pino's low weight and thin airfoils gift this ship with excellent thermal performance, even in very weak conditions. Conversely, the generous ballast compartments allow flying in strong winds too.
The aerodynamic design includes 5 different airfoils. So there is an optimum airfoil for every section of the wing. The creation of the airfoils was done with X-Foil, the wing aerodynamics with XFLR5.
The construction of the airframe is as follows. Wings, hollow molded with Airex foam skins laminated with 75g Carboline on the outer surfaces. V-Tails, Rohacell foam cores with 75g Carboline skins. Fuselage, Multi layer carbon fabrics except for the forward portion of the fuse which is black fiberglass for 2.4gHz transparency; molded under pressure for an excellent epoxy / resin ratio.
The wing is held in place using nylon screws that are meant to snap on hard landings. The electrical connections from the fuse to the wing are through spring contacts (included) which prevents wiring harness damage if the wing was to break free on a hard landing.
All control surfaces are pre-cut and have kevlar live hinges. All servo pockets and linkage tunnels are precut. Gap seal tape and carbon servo covers are included in the kit. See the instruction manual for a thorough understanding of what is included with this kit.

Although I do my best to complete this library, you may not find the model you are looking for.
In this case, do not hesitate to ask me to add it : You're not bothering me. Please be patient, depending on my workload, I may take a few days to work on your model and gather information.
I'm sometime asked to add a non flying model to this library but unfortunately, it's not the focus of this website
Ask for a new model
