The E-Kite is a very attractive 1.5m all molded F5K electric glider from Ukraine. Like the Kite DLG the electric version uses the well regarded Zone V2 wing and tail design, ensuring excellent mid and high speed performance and the good soaring characteristics of the discus launched glider. The E-Kite has a specially designed electric fuselage that gives generous space and easy access to the powertrain and RC, with two hatches - in addition to the canopy hatch a second hatch under the wing gives access to the servos. The fuselage is supplied with a recessed firewall glued in place. The firewall is drilled with holes at 12mm and 16mm, allowing making it perfect for the HyperFlight 1806 motor. The tail is very nicely designed, with only a single screw needed to secure the removable fin and tailplane.
The models we have in stock now are all two-piece wing which make them very easy to store and transport, and all four servos mounted in the fuselage - no wing mounted servos as shown in some of the now outdated photos.
The spread carbon over Rohacell wing is very nicely made, with a high gloss finish and attractive colour schemes. A very good detail is that the aileron servos are mounted in the wing, giving extra space in the fuselage and simplifying the aileron linkage. Low drag servo covers perfectly cover the servo openings.
