The Zone is an FPV simulator designed around three core pillars: accurate physics, real-world maps, and meaningful multiplayer. Built by sponsored freestyle pilot @nils_vo ( Nils Vollenbruch), it focuses on realistic training rather than arcade gameplay.

The flight physics are based on a real 5″ freestyle quad and tuned using real-life footage and Blackbox data, resulting in behavior that closely matches real FPV flight. Default settings are optimized for immediate use, with adjustable weight and power to suit different flying styles.

The simulator features a detailed replica of a real flying location, with additional real-world maps, a custom map editor, and Steam Workshop support planned. Multiplayer supports up to 32 pilots per server, including a picture-in-picture spectate mode that allows pilots to watch others while flying.

Actively developed with frequent updates, The Zone is an evolving project aimed at FPV pilots who want realistic practice and progression. An RC radio or game controller is required, with an RC transmitter recommended for the best experience.
