GlaStar V2 from XFLY Model

Details

The Glasair GlaStar (sometimes Glastar) is an American amateur-built aircraft that was designed by Tom Hamilton and produced by Stoddard-Hamilton Aircraft and later Glasair Aviation.

The GlaStar features a strut-braced high-wing, a two-seats-in- side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit accessed via doors, fixed tricycle landing gear or conventional landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. It is an aircraft for the pilot who rejects compromise, whose flying missions are diverse and demanding, and whose airplane had better be ready to go. anywhere, anytime.

XFly Model 1233mm GlaStar features a strut-braced high-wing, fixed tricycle landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. Capturing the thrill of incredible Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capabilities in design, the GlaStar also features slow speed control, sporty flight performance and ultra-friendly handling. Unique to the GlaStar, it comes equipped with a pair of oversized air-filled tires. The air-filled tires serve as a shock-absorber when rolling over a sudden change in landscape, having significant advantage while taxing or aggressively landing on packed dirt or grass surfaces. The magnet released, top-mounted hatch offers convenient and easy access to the battery compartment. XFly Model has designed a recognizable color scheme for the GlaStar V2 and equipped it with thicker air-filled tires and a reinforced aluminum landing gear strut. The upgraded power system, including an uprated motor and a 40A ESC, is compatible with both 3S and 4S LiPo batteries that meets RC pilots' need for more power, speed and longer flight times up to 10-15mins.
