Hawk/T-45 140-160N from hangar 9

Details

The Hangar 9 Hawk 140–160N redefines what pilots can expect from a scale turbine ARF jet. Inspired by the renowned BAE Systems Hawk—also flown by the U.S. Navy as the T-45 Goshawk—this model combines scale accuracy with advanced materials to offer both stability and sharp responsiveness in flight. Its core is a factory-assembled airframe made from carbon fiber–reinforced balsa and plywood. The kit includes all necessary control linkages and a complete hardware package featuring a 5.5-liter composite fuel tank with magnetic aluminum fill and vent fittings, a dual-wall stainless steel tail pipe, and all assembly hardware.

Convenient top hatches provide quick access to the turbine, electronics, and fuel system. Scale modelers will appreciate the factory-applied VT-7 "Betsy Ross" trim scheme, which includes printed panel lines, hatches, and rivet details. The interior boasts a detailed cockpit with pilot figures, molded seats, and a 3D instrument panel beneath a clear canopy.

The optional electric retract set (HAN13785) features precision-machined aluminum trailing-link struts and electric brakes, enabling smooth operations on paved runways and most grass fields. It also includes a retract controller with adjustable brake settings and a test mode that allows gear operation independent of the transmitter. All necessary gear doors, linkages, and mounting hardware are included.

For easy transport and storage, the two-piece wing, stabilizers, and ventral fins are fully removable and can be safely stowed in optional carrying bags (HAN1375018 and HAN1375019). The aircraft is light-ready and compatible with various lighting systems, including two Hawk-specific options from uniLIGHT.

Note: Multiple versions are available depending on the equipment included in the kit.
