The MARABU is a specially designed engine model for aerobatics and represents a successful further development of the well-known PELIKAN. (Report by Emil Giezendanner model 1969)
The structure is extremely light - but at the same time it is kept above average stable: the fuselage, which is largely made of balsa plywood, is practically indestructible and the wing is guaranteed to be torsion-resistant. The preformed, wraparound Nasenbeplankung (System Taurus) guarantees absolute profile accuracy - especially for Styrofoam fanatics interesting - opposite the Taurus but a substantial reinforcement of the wing leading edge has been reached yet by the new, additional nose spar.
