The Extreme Flight 88" Extra 260 represents a major leap forward for the 70-76cc class of aerobatic RC aircraft, delivering the performance and stability of a 120cc plane in a smaller, more affordable, and easier-to-transport package. Team Extreme spent nearly a year fine-tuning this airframe, resulting in a specially-tuned version of their Gen V aerodynamic package that makes this plane a world-class aerobatic machine.
For power, we recommend a 70-76cc twin-cylinder gas engine paired with 5 top-quality servos like the Savox 1280 or 2290. Our preferred setup is the GP76CC twin with an MTW TD-110H canister and a 25x9 propeller, which provides a magical blend of quiet, smooth, and powerful performance. The plane also excels on electric power, and we suggest a 6KW class outrunner like the XPWR60CC and 12S 5000-6000mAh battery packs, which fit neatly in the center of the tray.
The 88" Extra 260 flies straight lines effortlessly, excels at precision figures, and is incredibly easy to handle in post-stall 3D and extreme aerobatics. The airframe is reinforced with carbon fiber throughout for incredible strength and includes a host of high-quality features such as carbon wing and stab tubes, carbon landing gear, pre-hinged and gap-sealed surfaces, pre-installed control horns, and a quick-release canopy hatch. The included Du-Bro ball links, pre-vented cowl, engine cooling duct, pilot figure, and pre-finished exhaust tunnel with mounts for canister and tuned pipes make this plane as well-equipped as it is high-performing.
