The H-King Beechcraft Baron is a classic looking twin-engine, low wing plane with an impressive 1760mm (69.2”) wingspan. It is built from balsa and lite-ply model and is covered detailed film to give that realistic, scale look. Although you need to supply your own electrics and motors or engines it comes with an electric servoless retract system already installed.
The Beechcraft Baron is a light, civilian, 4-5 seat, utility, twin-engine plane that was manufactured in the USA and introduced to the market in 1961. It is a very successful plane with a great track record and is still in production. It was also produced for a number of military customers and can be found around the world.
The Baron comes with flaps to aid in takeoffs and landings as well as retracts so it looks sleek in the air. There is also scale instrument details plus a pilot in the cockpit for a more realistic look. To keep that great look the nose cone and engine cowls are molded fiberglass for better detail. There is also a number of plastic antenna and other components.
There is an amount of building to do with this ARF aircraft as you will have to mount the engines, servos and horizontal and vertical stabilizers but the control surfaces are pre-hinged. To aid with transport the wings are removable and come with an aluminum spar (joiner). You have the choice of using electric power (EP) or gas power (GP). If you use EP then there is a big battery hatch to ensure an easy change of battery after each flight and there is a motor mount provided.
