Memphis, Tennessee, is not only the epicenter of Rock'n'Roll, it is also the home of engineer Charlie Fite, a former pilot and radio-controlled model aircraft enthusiast, and great builder. His designs are very simple and easy to build and they often have exceptional flight characteristics.
The aircraft named Einzpfeil was built and flown by Charlie in different sizes. He designed a version with a 610 mm wingspan for 50 to 64 mm turbines, and this is the one presented.
Charlie's idea was to build an electric turbine model capable of taking off from the ground with a high top speed and a low landing speed. A simple and straightforward construction with a minimum of parts is a characteristic of the Einzpfeil. It is inspired by the German Lampyridae stealth project from the 1980s. It is particularly recognizable with the triangular fuselage. The model is built entirely from 6 mm Depron. The wing has a Kline - Fogleman 2 aerodynamic profile reinforced with a carbon spar. The gliding on the ground is ensured by two skids under the wing. The construction of the model is well thought out: with a minimal number of parts, you get a light and rigid structure. For the transmission, a 50 or 64 mm shrouded turbine is suitable. The energy comes from a Li-Po 3S or 4S with a capacity of 1600 to 2200 mAh. This Einzpfeil flies with a 50 mm FMS turbine, a 1600 mAh 4S battery and a 45 A ESC controller.
You only need two servos of category 9 to 13 g. The transmitter must have a deltamix function (elevon).
The model consists of only 13 parts. The construction is quick and easy. It was developed by an engineer - so everything fits perfectly. With a minimum of work and time, you get a light and strong structure.
Charlie Fite builds his models from Elmer's foam, plated on each side with layers of paper. European modelers have an advantage over the American friend, because it's easy to buy Depron here. For this reason, the European Einzpfeil is significantly lighter than the original. The construction technique is almost identical for both materials

Although I do my best to complete this library, you may not find the model you are looking for.
In this case, do not hesitate to ask me to add it : You're not bothering me. Please be patient, depending on my workload, I may take a few days to work on your model and gather information.
I'm sometime asked to add a non flying model to this library but unfortunately, it's not the focus of this website
